Matthew Shannon’s take on Spanglish in Texas
Check out Matthew’s analysis of Spanglish in Texas, in which he explains Spanish-English contact in the state and unpacks local language policy. He submitted this project for my LING 115 course in FALL ‘19 and is set to graduate from U-M (Computer Engineering) in 2021!
Jennifer Lee’s research on Gullah, a U.S. creole
Jennifer provides a linguistic description of Gullah, a creole language spoken in the U.S., and examines linguistic discrimination in the region. She created this website for my LING 115 course in FALL ‘19 and is set to graduate with a full time job at Ford lined up for next year!
